Sandspit is the jumping-off point for Kawau Island — a busy little marina, a well-used ramp, and a steady stream of boats working hard all summer. It's also five minutes from our Warkworth base, which makes it about the easiest call-out on our map.

Boats here split two ways: marina and mooring boats that sit in the salt full-time, and trailer boats that rack up ramp launches every weekend. Both end up with the same problem — oxidised, chalky gelcoat and a waterline that won't scrub clean. A proper machine polish brings the colour and gloss back, and protection (sealant or ceramic coating) keeps it looking sharp through the season instead of one month.
